FBLA FALL Rally  November 12

Fall Festival will be November 6th  from 5 to 7 PM

FCA will meet each Thursday morning in the library at 7:20.                                                                                        

JUNIOR REVIEW  $1.00 admission at 9:00 AM Thursday November 6th in the auditorium.

 Homecoming this year will be on Saturday,              December 6,2008, with the queen crowning beginning at 5:30 pm, just before the Lady Tigers game. Both the Varsity Boys & Girls will play on homecoming night, and we will be playing the Ponce de Leon Pirates.

Dress up days are as follows:
Monday~ Hat Day
Tuesday~Wacky Tacky Day
Wednesday~Camo Day
Thursday~ Favorite Sport/Team Day
Friday~ School Spirit Day
Dress code will be strictly enforced for the students who chose NOT to participate in the homecoming dress-up days.

The seniors will be selling Homecoming T-shirts again this year, and if you thought last year's looked good, you're going to love this year's design!!  Click here for an order form or to see the design.

SENIORS--The Foundation for the Individual Right in Education (FIRE) is holding the "Freedom in Academia" student essay contest. First place is a $5000 scholarship. The deadline for submission is November 20, 2008. See Mrs. Ellerbee for details.

SENIORS--The AXA Achievement Scholarship program is accepting applications for their scholarships through December 15th. Download an application at www.axa-achievement.com

SENIORS--The Florida Association of Educational Data Systems if offering the William J. English Scholarship ($3,000). Students planning to major in computer science and/or a information technology related field may apply. The application is available at www.faeds.org The deadline for applications is February 15,2009.


Students--Phi Theta Kappa is hosting a free ACT Prep session on Saturday, December 6th at Chipola. This is limited to the first 80 students that register. If interested, please call 526-2761 and ask for extension 3225. If there is no answer, leave a message with your name, contact number, and the subject(s) in which you would like assistance.

Anyone wishing to enter a poetry/essay contest to compete to be published, please see Mrs. Lewis. The poetry deadline is December 4, 2008, and the essay deadline is October 15, 2008. Cash prizes are available!
