Registration Requirements

2010-2011 School Year

Head Start

Requirements:           program based on family income

Age requirements:    Age 3 on or before September 1, 2010

Location:                   5 school sites:

                                  Cottondale Elementary, Early Childhood Center,  Graceville Elementary,

                                  Grand Ridge School and Malone School

Early Early Head Start

Requirements:         program based on family income

Age requirements:  6 weeks old at the time of enrollment

Location:                  Early Childhood Center, Marianna

 

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK)

Requirements:         Age 4 by September 1, 2010 (Student has to be a resident of Florida)

Location:                 5 school sites: 

                                 Graceville Elementary, Grand Ridge School, Malone School,

                                 Early Childhood Center, Cottondale Elementary

Please note that VPK is not based on income. 

                                               VPK is for 3 hours per day for 180 days

Exceptional Student Education (ESE)

Jackson County School Board and FDLRS/PAEC will co-sponsor FREE Child Find Screenings should you have concerns about your child in the areas of readiness skills, speaking/listening, motor movement, social skills, vision and hearing.

What you will need to register your child

*Certified Birth Certificate  (Not the footprint record)

*Social Security Card

*Proof of ALL income for all members, including children, in your household.  

Examples include:

• Pay stubs - four (4) most recent pay stubs
• TANF, WAGES, SSI, Social Security, Foster Care
• Notice of Case Action from the Food Stamp Office
• Statement of Child Support
• Documentation of any other income family receives
