JDE Unit and Lesson Plans

Jackson Digital Educator Training, tailored after the Florida Digital Educator Program in combination with the Intel Teach to the Future Training Model, was held during the last week of June 2007.  Video of Training (8 min)

Training consisted of 4 days of hands on technology training covering Internet, multi-media, productivity and hardware topics.  Training Web Site

Teachers were asked to create a unit or lesson plan which used some of the new skills learned in their training.

The lesson plan formats and rubrics were based on the the Intel Teach to the Future Model.

Eight-five teachers competed to complete the best 10 unit or lesson plans voted on by their peers.  Video showing winners

Teachers were rewarded with auction bucks during the week for attendance, punctuality, peer tutoring, break-out session attendance, vendor showcase, unit completion, and best unit from each group.  An auction with items donated from vendors was held at the completion of training where teachers could spend their hard earned auction bucks.  Video of the Auction
